POST-PRODUCTION

A modern day darkroom

The post-production is term for all processing activities after shooting that lead to the completion of the work. In the film photography era processing was made in a darkroom; today the darkroom of the photographer is the computer. In digital photography an image file is processed in an editing software to improve the raw image by adjusting different properties including but not limited to exposure, contrast, brightness, color and saturation.

A fully calibrated workflow for WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)

In digital photography it is very critical to match color images displayed on a computer screen to the images produced when the same digital file is rendered by proofing and printing systems. Obtaining such a match is not simple and to be fully accurate it requires careful control of many aspects of the process. At Studio Venera, we have a fully calibrated workflow based on criteria  listed in ISO 12646:2015, ISO 3664:2009 and ISO 14861:2015 standards to make sure that we capture, display and reproduce an image without altering the original colors, and achieve the highest industry standards.

Editing photos into perfection

Depending on the style, technique and the level of editing can vary quite a bit from one photo to another and require sometimes even more than a dozen of major artistic touches. At Studio Venera, we are very well positioned to offer you the finest features on different image editing techniques thanks to the sophisticated tools we use in our studio.

We provide our photo editing service not only for photos shot by us, but also for those from your own collection to help you restore your memories.  In order to keep our offering simple, we categorize our photo editing service in three different layers:

  1. Essential Editing for basic corrections that require minor adjustments (reality retouch);
  2. Creative Editing for removal of unwanted and distracting elements, skin improvement and cosmetic surgery while still preserving a natural look (beauty retouch);

  3. Designer Editing for adding fantasy elements to the composition (fantasy retouch).
